MONORAIL CRANES
On a monorail system the hoist and trolley run on a single stationary beam. This simplicity makes the monorail system a popular choice for moving materials within a specified range and positioning loads in specific locations. Monorails have many advantages including speed and efficiency of operation and lower cost than a comparable bridge crane. The limitation of a monorail system is that it only provides two dimensional movement as opposed to three dimensional movement of other styles of crane systems.
Although monorail crane systems are inherently simple; McLAUGHLIN HOIST & CRANE can design, build, and install complex monorail systems involving curved tracks, swing-out sections, and switches.
